📺 Testing CTV in 2025: What We’re Seeing at Northbeam For years, CTV measurement was basically guesswork. You had three tools: - Platform-reported dashboards (fun, until you take to finance and have double-counted conversions) - Incrementality tests (accurate + crucial, but slow and expensive) - MMM (great for planning, not for daily optimization) All helpful, but none gave you real-time feedback. That’s changing. With Northbeam, brands can now see day-one performance from platforms like Vibe.co CTV, right alongside Paid Social, Search, Email, and SMS, using the same finance-grade attribution logic that marketers and CFOs actually agree on. You can see same-day vs 30-day CAC and ROAS , understand how CTV fits into your funnel, and make mid-flight budget calls with deterministic data instead of modeled reach. 💡 What the data shows (Northbeam C+DV dataset) Over the last 30 days, across $1B+ in tracked ad spend, here’s what the numbers look like for Vibe.co vs. Paid Social in Northbeam’s Clicks + Deterministic Views Model: - 55% lower CAC on Vibe CTV: $115 (vs ~$245 across paid social) - Average ROAS: 1.7x (anything over a 1x in NB is highly profitable) - CAC stability: +8.7% week over week (vs +28% across paid social) And the verticals performing best right now: Fashion & Accessories: ~$73 CAC Beauty & Personal Care: ~$71 CAC Food & Beverage: ~$87 CAC All measured using Northbeam’s accrual methodology, every dollar and conversion tied back to the day the spend happened. No double counting, no “modeled” anything. Note: These numbers are also fractionalized so may may seem higher CAC/lower ROAS than in platform, that is by design 🫡 🧠 How to actually measure CTV If you’re testing CTV for the first time, here’s a simple framework that works: 1. Start with your 1-day benchmark. Get an early sense of CAC and signal quality 2. Check back at 14- and 30-days. CTV conversion lag is real, and efficiency compounds. 3. Watch correlations. See how CTV spend impacts direct, brand search, and organic visits. 4. Compare efficiency curves. Track how CAC and new-customer/ new-visit % change from 1-day to 30-day. 5. Run incrementality tests. Validate that CTV is driving net-new revenue, not just reattributed orders. 6. Use MMM to plan budgets. Once you’ve validated lift, use MMM to forecast where CTV fits in your monthly mix. 🧩 Why it matters CTV can finally be measured like every other channel - but multi-touch attribution is only one piece of the story. Northbeam measurement gives you real-time visibility into CAC, ROAS, and revenue from platforms like Vibe.co. But the real unlock comes when you combine: - Clicks + Deterministic Views for immediate feedback loops - Incrementality to prove causal impact - MMM to forecast and scale confidently That’s when CTV stops being a top-of-funnel “test” and starts behaving like a fully measurable, scalable performance channel, one that both growth and finance teams can get behind 🚀
