Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) reposted this
As a part of HCA Healthcare, above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. In Virginia, that means ensuring that every patient has access to affordable coverage. Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (EPTCs) currently allow 350,000 Virginians to access affordable health insurance on Virginia’s Healthcare Marketplace. Millions of Americans who rely on the individual Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) for their health insurance are at risk of steep premium increases unless Congress extends the EPTCs. While the credits don’t expire until the end of 2025, unless Congress acts now, families will see their Marketplace premiums spike during fall enrollment, forcing many to choose between paying for healthcare and covering basic needs like food, rent and childcare. Most people won’t realize what’s coming until it’s too late. With Congress back in Washington, the clock is ticking: EPTCs must be extended before the 2026 Open Enrollment Period. Watch our short video to hear from some of HCA Virginia's hospital leaders on the importance of extending EPTCs. Visit our website to learn how you can take immediate action in urging Congress to extend EPTCs and protect affordable healthcare coverage for millions of Americans: https://bit.ly/46HePjO #HealthierTomorrows #EnhancedPremiumTaxCredits 📽️: CEOs from Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals, TriCities Hospital and CJW Medical Center
