It’s time for #NurseDayThursday, and this week we’re excited to introduce Mia Malandruccolo, a standout ICU nurse at White Plains Hospital! Mia’s nursing journey began on 4E, where she quickly became known for her curiosity and willingness to jump in. “4E was the perfect place to build a foundation. I learned how to care for a wide variety of patients,” she says. Mia's drive to keep learning, and her fascination with critical care, soon led her to the ICU, where she thrives in the fast-paced, high-acuity environment. “The teamwork here is second to none,” she says. From advanced stroke care to complex post-operative cases, no two days are alike, but one thing remains constant: her commitment to patients and their families. “Sometimes, it’s more than medical care. Just being there, listening, and helping families through the hardest moments can make all the difference,” Mia shares. Mia, thank you for bringing compassion, energy, and curiosity to every shift.
