It’s never easy to say goodbye to a teammate but it’s especially hard when it’s someone who does as much for the WMTW newsroom as Sharon! Sharon spent 27 years at WMTW as our assignment editor, keeping our crews heading to the next big story and doing so much more than we could put into words. We will miss her greatly but wish her well as she heads off into retirement!

🌟 Employee Spotlight🌟 This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Damon, our longest-serving Production Assistant/Camera Operator. Damon will celebrate an incredible 26 years with us in early June! 💥 * Damon has been a key part of our weekday morning newscasts since they launched more than 20 years ago — and we truly can’t imagine the studio without him. 🎧📺 * Around the building, Damon is known as our resident sports nut — rarely seen without a hat or jersey from one of his many favorite (and often underdog!) teams. We joke that if Damon starts cheering for your team, it might be time to switch allegiances... because his track record with winning teams is a little suspect. 😄⚾🏀 * What truly sets Damon apart, is his unmatched dependability and positive attitude. In 26 years, he’s missed fewer than 10 days of work due to illness — a testament to his dedication and work ethic. He’s not just a valued colleague, but a genuinely kind and uplifting presence on our team! 🤗💪 Thank you, Damon, for everything you bring to the table.
