We had such a great time celebrating DSP Appreciation Week and the incredible compassion, dedication, and commitment that our DSPs bring to Woodfords every day. From daily support and fostering independence to coaching at the Special Olympics and making summer cookouts special, they truly go above and beyond. Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communties. For 50 years, Woodfords has supported children, youth and adults to reach their highest potentiall and reach their goals. Woodfords is based in Westbrook, Maine with satellite location in Manchester, Waterville and Topsham and provides services in 11 of Maine's 16 counties. The agency employs approximately 500 individuals who work with more than 1,500 families and many schools and community organizations each year.

Last week marked a milestone in Woodfords’ rich history as we celebrated the development of the agency’s Central Maine Community Service Hub with a commemorative beam signing. More than 100 people joined us to tour the in progress facility, explore the agency’s soon to be campus and celebrate the success of the project.
