Four years. One unforgettable journey. This is the story of my time at WIUT, the greatest story of my life so far. It’s been 8 semesters that shaped my mind, and over a million moments that shaped my heart. A full spectrum of emotions, from pure joy and love to moments of sadness and sometimes a bit of loneliness. This chapter, which began in early September 2021, sadly has reached its final station. And I have to be honest, it’s a strange feeling. It seems like it all started yesterday, and a lifetime ago, all at once. It makes me question: was it even real, or was it one long, beautiful dream? The journey had its challenges. I’ll admit, I occasionally questioned my life choices during those intense exam weeks. But I persevered, and I’m proud to have graduated with a UK Upper Second Class Honours Degree. Yet, the real value went far beyond the diploma. WIUT gave me my first internship, my first real professional experience, and the thrill of co-organizing massive events like the WIUT Talent Show (not once, but twice!) It’s where I found the courage to learn singing and songwriting at the one and only WIUT Vocal Club (and I even led it for two years!). On the flip side, it also gave me a reality check, Statistics… aahh… the module I hated so much, successfully failed the exam and had to retake. But as Coldplay says, “Nobody said it was easy.” And my story is just another testament to that. Westminster International University in Tashkent was more than a university. It was the place that taught me everything I know about management, marketing, and finance. It was also where I found lifelong friends, discovered a passion for music, and even found love (lost it there as well unfortunetely). It gifted me a million moments I will carry for a lifetime. Of course, everyone has their own take on WIUT, but for me, it was the perfect launchpad for my personal, academic, and professional growth. And as our Rector Komiljon Karimov wisely said during the graduation ceremony, “Once a WIUTerian, always a WIUTerian.” I feel that deep in my soul WIUT will always have a special place in my heart. So, thank you, WIUT, for everything. I admit I didn’t like you that much at the beginning of our journey, but I quickly fell in love with you. Thanks for just the way you are. You are the best!

The 5 Key Priorities of the 2025 Global Youth Statement has been released! More than 30,000 children and youth took part in the Global Youth Statement process and united behind five urgent demands for a just and livable future: ✅ Science-aligned NDCs and a Full, Fast, Fair fossil fuel phase out to keep 1.5°C within reach ✅ Intergenerational equity and meaningful children and youth inclusion ✅ A global ceasefire and the recognition of the climate impacts of military conflicts ✅ Climate finance rooted in justice and accessibility ✅ Adaptation as moral and political priority Acting on these priorities is not a favour - it is a moral duty. Decision taken at COP30 will define the future of our generation and the planet. #GlobalYouthStatement2025 #YouthForClimate #ClimateJustice #YouthClimateAction #COP30 #GYS2025

Is Brazil really supporting youth participation at this year’s climate conference? With one month left before COY20brazil and COP30 Brazil, hundreds of young delegates still face uncertainty. No confirmed accommodation, no logistical support, and no formal government funding. Belém hosts around two million people every year during Círio de Nazaré at affordable prices. Yet it is now struggling to accommodate less than five percent of that number for the world’s most critical climate gathering. If this is how inclusion begins, what message does it send to the next generation of climate leaders? Read the full opinion piece below.👇🏼

The COY20 logo carries the Amazon in its form and color. At its heart blooms the Vitória-régia, also known as Victoria amazonica, a symbol of resilience and transformation. Designed by Jan Kairel Guillermo, a young Filipino artist and three-time winner of the COY logo competition. His work speaks with clarity and depth, grounded in cultural relevance and the energy of youth. From Glasgow to Egypt to Brazil, the symbolism and story continue. 🌱 The #NbSYouthConsultation is back! Back in 2021, we heard from over 1,000 youth worldwide on nature-based solutions (NbS). The result? A Global NbS Youth Statement launched at COP26 in Glasgow — later referenced in CBD COP15 negotiations, inspiring projects like Y4N’s INUKA Pilot, and reaching thousands across the globe. 🚀 Fast forward to 2025: NbS and the wider nature-climate nexus remain at the heart of both global negotiations and local action. Now we want to hear from you again: ✨ What do you think about NbS today? ✨ How do you feel about safeguards and implementation? ✨ Have the risks or opportunities changed? Share your thoughts to help us build a unified statement from youth ahead of COP30. Add your perspective and be part of the movement. 🌍💚 👉 https://lnkd.in/dPp-E9MA

Africa is the youngest continent in the world, and its youth are leading the way. At Climate Week and the Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa, young people are not waiting for permission. They are solution providers, community builders, and innovators charting pathways for a safer climate future. When Africa speaks, the world should listen, especially to its youth.
At Climate Week in Addis, leaders spoke about what matters most: partnerships, co-investment, and Africa’s own strengths. From the continent's renewable energy and fertile lands to its critical minerals and its youth. 👉 Hear directly from H.R.H. Princess Dr. h.c.
