  • Apriori Algorithm Distributed

    Converted the Apriori algorithm that computes frequent item sets from transactional data to map reduce paradigm. Further developed this algorithm to form association rules from the frequent item sets generated. Bench marked this in comparison to the native sequential version of Apriori.

  • Private Vs Public Sector Performance

    A regression was run to compare the performance of the public sector against the private sector. The dependency of steel production on the economy’s performance and the import-export volume was analyzed.

  • Energy Audit Project, Engineers Without Borders

    Collected and analyzed the energy consumption in the hostels and institution block and consequently
    employed power saving methods to potentially reduce wastage by 30%

  • Game Theory on Corruption

    -

    Modeled Corruption using Game Theory. Developed a decision tree algorithm that determines payoffs and outcomes for each bribe scenario. Bribes were analyzed in terms of pay off matrices. Median Voter Theorem was also employed to explain some consumer behaviors.
