Senior European Service Operations Manager

Location: Ideally based near a major semiconductor customer hub across, Germany, France or Italy

Reports to: VP, Global Service Operations

The Opportunity


This is a critical regional leadership role, overseeing service operations and a distributed team of field engineers and managers across Europe. You’ll be responsible for ensuring exceptional tool uptime, strong customer satisfaction, and a motivated, high-performing service organisation across a multi-country environment.


The successful candidate will combine technical credibility with genuine people leadership - someone who can connect, inspire, and unify a diverse European service team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and develop service operations across Europe, aligning local execution with global strategy.
  • Manage and inspire a multi-national team across Germany, France, Italy, and wider Europe, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with fab managers and senior stakeholders at key customers.
  • Drive operational excellence, service quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of a newly established organisational structure and strengthen cohesion across regional teams.
  • Provide clear direction, make confident decisions, and empower team members to take ownership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global service, product, and engineering teams.



What We’re Looking For


  • 10+ years’ experience in service operations or field service management within semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Proven record of leading and inspiring teams, not just managing them a true leader who earns trust and motivates through example.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, confident engaging with senior fab stakeholders.
  • Technically fluent, commercially astute, and capable of balancing performance, cost, and people development.
  • A decisive, self-driven leader who can bring ideas forward, take initiative, and challenge constructively when needed.
  • Comfortable working across diverse cultures, personalities, and expectations.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages preferred
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
