Managing notifications
- [Instructor] Android notifications appear in two spots. First, up here on the status bar. These icons represent apps crying for your attention. Second, some apps grow badges or red dots that indicate notifications or other necessary attention such as new email messages or missed phone calls. Swipe down the screen top to bottom, to view the notifications. To deal with a notification, tap it. The app that generated the notification appears, displaying more information. To dismiss a notification, swipe it left or right off the list. To dismiss all notifications, swipe to the bottom and tap the Clear all button. Dismissing a notification doesn't prevent it from appearing again, especially for ongoing notifications such as calendar reminders.
