- [Instructor] Sometimes we may need to add certain custom elements to a piece of equipment that may not be available in the equipment creation dialog box. In cases like this, you can attach additional elements using AutoCAD and simply add them to the equipment using the attach equipment function found in the equipment panel of the ribbon menu. Let's go ahead and open drawing 0405, equip. We're going to be working with this vessel on top of our platform here. I'm going to change into our parallel view. Just to make it a little bit easier, so that when we hover around this, we're not going to be picking up on the structural elements. I'm just going to go into our XREF, and I'm going to unload our structural steel XREF. Now we can see that a little more clearly. If we want to make any modifications to the location of this vessel, at this point I would have to select the vessel and then come around and pick every little piece of additional steel that I want to show attached to this…
