Adding valves
- [Instructor] Adding a valve is as simple as drag and drop the selection from the dynamic tool palette. All of the fittings that you see in the palette will resize automatically once you choose the pipeline that the line will be placed on. Plant 3D will acquire the size of the pipe and select the appropriate valve for placement. So let's take a look at how that works. We're going to open drawing 05_05_Piping. So here we are back at our model again, and I want to make sure a few things first. We're going to make sure we're working in parallel mode, and we're going to come down and make sure we have our dynamic input turned on. So first off, let's look at this pump here. So we want to add some valves onto the discharge line of this pump. So I'm going to come down and scroll down to our valve section and I'm going to look for check valve, so I want to place 300 pound check valve, flanged. And I want to watch what happens here.
