Introduction
- Welcome to "Building your own AI Lab." My name is Omar Santos. In this course, we'll go over the exciting world of creating your own AI lab at home or in the cloud. You can also create hybrid environments. So this course will give you the knowledge and the skills to build a very flexible, high performance AI setup so you can learn the technology and also build modern applications. Throughout this journey, we will explore essential technologies and tools, and we'll even discuss things like cost management and security. We'll also tackle advanced topics like edge computing and fine-tuning frameworks. By the end of this course, you will have the confidence to set up and run AI models efficiently, cost effectively, and enabling you to innovate and experiment like never before. Since we will spend a little bit of time together, I would like to introduce myself. I'm a distinguished engineer at Cisco, focusing on AI security. I have been in the cybersecurity industry for more than 20 years. And I lead a few different industry efforts. I am the co-chair of the Coalition of Secure AI, alongside of Google Open AI, Anthropic, Nvidia, and many other companies. I'm also the founder and the co-chair of two cybersecurity standards efforts. One is called OpenEoX, and the other one is the Common Security Advisory Framework. I also serve on the board of Oasis, which is a very popular standards organization. And I'm also the author of over 20 books and many video courses. Well, enough about me.
