- [Instructor] On the Excel Expert MOS exam, you're going to probably come across several questions asking you to create conditional formatting rules. We're going to talk about how to create rules using operators such as less than, greater than and equal to. Using logical functions such as AND and OR and using formulas. I have the 03_03 exercise file open so let's get started. Our first worksheet is profit loss and we're looking at the profit and loss for the first half of the year, January through June. We have two questions that we're going to answer using conditional formatting. The first is display values in red italics if the products monthly sales were greater than $2,000. We begin by selecting the cells that we want to apply the conditional formatting to. In this case, it is B6 down to G30. We'll go to conditional formatting and this is a simple one where we're just going to highlight the cells that are greater than 2,000 and then we'll choose our formatting. Go to custom…
