- [Instructor] So how does one configure network monitoring services within a public cloud? There are a few steps to consider. Choose a network monitoring tool, which means selecting a monitoring tool designed to monitor network resources in the cloud. These tools collect data and provide analysis from resources on the network and the network itself. These may include virtual machines, applications, serverless systems, and resources existing within a cloud. Examples of these tools include Amazon CloudWatch, Google Stack Driver, and Azure Monitor. Define the objectives of your network monitoring. This means typically defining the network's key performance indicators or KPIs, and what the network needs to hit in terms of KPIs to declare success. In other words, what performance levels must the network hit for a specific company? Deploy monitoring agents on the network and resources connected to the network.
