- [Instructor] Just to be clear, data fluency isn't some abstract principle. It's actually something that makes a difference in real life. And what I want to do in this video is run through some of the ways that data and the ability to work with it can affect and improve the things that people do. Now, that's a hard question to answer if you don't have the data at hand, but the point is you need to have the data at hand. The data can help you see if, in fact, those things are working correctly or the way that you think they are working. And what I want to do is show you how some of these kinds of questions could be answered in different domains, different things that people do, and give just a few quick examples to give an idea of how data can inform even a small business, an entrepreneur, a startup to see what they can do to work more effectively.
