- We see one another, ourselves reflected in each other's smiles, frowns, eye rollings. In all that we do, we mirror one another. Humans have a biological mechanism through neural pathways called mirror neurons to experience one another in our minds. When one of us is observing someone else's action, the observer's brain mirrors the electrical impulses in the other's brain. Just as being mindful of your own emotions can be important, the same goes for being mindful of others' emotions. Facial expressions are woven into our communication to build trust and humans mirror one another to convey safety, openness, and oneness. When we are in unison, not only do our physical bodies mirror one another, our brains mirror one another and we create a collective neural map in the moment.
