- With all of the benefits of live video, there are also challenges. Let's talk about some of these here. Probably the most obvious and pervasive downside to live video is the potential for unpredicted, technical problems related to failure in internet connection, live casting software, equipment, and so on. And the more people involved in the livestream, the more potential for these technical errors. That means if you're doing a live interview, you've not only got to worry about your own technical setup, but also that of your guest. The important part is that you have a plan in place for addressing problems. One way you can mitigate technical issues on your end is to have multiple devices available, so that if one fails, you can rejoin the stream from another. I've done that before.
