The right mindset for innovating in times of change
(upbeat music) - When I was first learning how to ride a motorbike many, many years ago, I kept hitting the bollards that had been laid out as part of my course. My motorbike instructor gave me some fantastic advice that I have applied to business as well as to improving my two-wheeled steering abilities ever since. It was if you focus on the obstacles, you're more likely to hit them. Focus on the way around an obstacle and you're more likely to miss it. That's genius. The right mindset for leaders is to focus on the way around the problems and to help lead their organizations to have that mindset too. And to that end, there are a few attitudes that you may need to adjust. The most important thing you may need to adjust is how you assess ideas. Let me share a matrix with you.
