I remember as a kid lifting the back of the toilet lid to try and figure out how the flush magic really happened. The levers and plugs and floaters had me fascinated and curious. Curiosity turns obstacles into puzzles waiting to be solved, and puzzles are a lot more fun than problems. Let's face it, sometimes learning is just hard. In this lesson, I'll show you some techniques to cultivate a playful, open-minded approach to learning that prevents burnout and accelerates progress. Number one, embrace the challenge mindset. Instead of thinking, “I don't get this,” try “I don't get this yet.” This small shift reminds you that difficulty is temporary, not permanent. Number two, stop and check your progress. Maybe you haven't reached the summit, but look at the view you've already earned.
