- [Instructor] In this lesson, we're going to discuss the different elements of an incident response policy. When we look at a policy, there are many different elements that are contained within it. This includes a statement of commitment, the purpose, the objectives, the scope, the definitions, the roles and responsibilities, the prioritization, the performance measures and the reporting requirements. Let's go ahead and take a closer look at each of these elements. The first element of a policy is known as the statement of commitment. This is essentially stating under whose authority this document is going to be published and the level of an executive commitment being placed behind it.
