- Endless meetings, nonstop messages, no time to think, barely a moment to pause, let alone think clearly, this is the reality faced by so many senior executives today. An overloaded day doesn't just drain your energy, it clouds your judgment, shortens your temper, and leaves you in reactive mode. When this happens, the quality of your leadership is weakened. The most effective leaders I work with have one thing in common, they deliberately create space in their calendars for themselves. I don't simply mean taking a long lunch or going to the gym. They intentionally make time to pause, reflect, and recenter themselves. Let me share with you three scheduling habits to help you perform at your best. Habit number one, create me time in your calendar. Before you and your assistant fill your weekly calendar with meetings, block time for yourself.
