- Both Windows and Mac have a tool to search through your files and do a web search at the same time. On Windows, we're looking for the search field in the task bar. This is called Windows Search. Now in previous versions of Windows 10, Windows Search and Cortana were all together under one button. But now they're separate. So you could click on the search field or you could just tap on the Windows key on your keyboard. Of course, that opens the start menu but it also places your cursor in the Windows search field. And then you can start typing. Depending on what you search for, you'll get different types of results. So in this case, some of the search results are from the web, and one is a folder of files on my computer with the word California. So I could click on whichever one, I want to open it or I could use the arrow keys on my keyboard and whichever one I land on it will give me a preview of it. And then I can…
