- [Narrator] Okay, let's meet your project sponsor, or you might think of them as your internal customer. If you're internal and working for the same company as the project sponsor, then you have some wonderful advantages. You want to take advantage of them. There's almost certainly an internal system with profiles and reporting structures. It often has information about things like their personal life and their hobbies. If you're an introvert like me, and many of us data scientists are, meeting folks for the first time may make you worry about the possibility of small talk. Looking up their profile is an easy way to make that more comfortable. Little things like that can help. Also check out LinkedIn. That will tell you a bit about previous roles and skill sets. Next, your colleagues. So you've got access to an organizational chart somewhere. Who do they report to? How far up and down the chart do you have to go to have someone in common? What about potential subject matter experts?…
