Adding music to the sequence
- There are many ways to approach video editing. I'm just going to give you a simple method here for cutting these pieces together. Let's start by adding music to the sequence. And I'll drag this onto the timeline. Now, I need this to be 30 seconds or less, so let's jump forward to 30 seconds, 30.00, and have a look at the music. I see that there's this buildup part here, and this is where we want to be no longer than. So I'll press M to add a marker. Now, what I'm looking at is where does the music start? (percussive music) Oh, that part I don't think we want to use, but let's go a little further in. (syncopated music) Not bad, it's a little loud. So I'll select the clip and press G for gain and lower this by negative six decibels. Looking at the VU meters, I want the audio to hit between zero and negative 12. (syncopated music) That's good.
