Masking and freezing action

One of the things that's important with a cinemagraph is to truly freeze the action in most of the scene. Now, this might seem simple. And in this shot, you didn't see a lot of movement, but even subtle movement or the grain or texture in the video will bump up the file size. So what we're going to end up doing is actually freezing the action and putting a freeze frame over the video file. Park your play head on a good frame and click the camera icon here to export a frame. If you don't see that, just click the button editor and you can drag down the camera to your toolbar. Now click that to export the frame, and I'mma call this Masking. Browse and choose where you're going to store that and just click OK. It's automatically imported back into the project and we can just drag that and place it right above.
