The latest SWEET–SURE annual highlights are now available. The #report presents recent progress on #indicators, the #MCDA framework, the SURE #Game, and #regional case studies across Switzerland. SWEET–SURE explores how #resilience and #sustainability can be reconciled with the goals of the Swiss #energytransition. The project combines quantitative modeling, indicator analysis, and stakeholder engagement to explore transition pathways toward 2035 and 2050. This year’s work included: - Testing the SURE Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (#MCDA) framework to evaluate trade-offs between environmental, economic, socio-political, and resilience indicators. - Developing the SURE #Game “Energy Ensured” to engage stakeholders through interactive learning. - Finalizing the Adaptation Need Indicator, assessing #legal and #policy #readiness for energy transition pathways. - Advancing our modeling framework and interfaces for integrated #national and #regional analyses. - Applying tools in case studies — including a system dynamics model for #Ticino, a district #heating planning tool for #Zurich, and an integration study linking SBB CFF and Swissgrid AG. After an accident left Jennifer French paralysed, she was told she would never walk or work again. A neurotechnology implant proved those predictions wrong, however, and French went on to become a #Paralympic medallist. She is now Founder and Executive Director of the Neurotech Network. This technology could improve many lives, she says – but it also presents risks that must be addressed.
