CARE is devastated by the killing of our partner colleague, Tasneem Shublaq, 27, who was pregnant when she and her two young children were killed in an airstrike in #Gaza City. Tasneem was a psychologist with our partner, Juzoor, supporting displaced children who had lost homes, parents, and friends. Despite the risks, she chose to stay and serve her community. This tragedy, alongside the destruction of the Al-Samer Medical Center run by our partner the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS), is a stark reminder of the enormous sacrifices humanitarian workers make every day in Gaza. Read CARE's full statement: https://bit.ly/46z2Z9N We stand in solidarity with our partners in Gaza and continue to call on world leaders to take urgent action to protect civilians and humanitarian workers.

  • Quote by Jolien Veldwijk from CARE Palestine (West Bank and Gaza) urging the need for diplomatic measures to stop attacks, following heartbreaking stories from affected individuals.

There are no words that are strong enough. "Sorry for your loss," just doesn't cut it. This killing needs to stop. 💔
