🏆 🎉 ⭐ We're so happy to learn that this year's Nobel prize in Physics is awarded to the three quantum mechanics pioneers John Clarke, Michel Devoret and John Martinis "for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunneling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit". We are delighted that John Clark and John Martinis have served as guest researchers here at Chalmers University of Technology in recent years, maintaining a close relationship with the university, Chalmers Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience and with Sweden’s leading quantum technology research initiative, WACQT - Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology. And watching our own Göran Johansson explain the significance of this year’s Nobel Prize in Physics live on TV during the announcement made us all incredibly proud!
