🔥 The news is full of stories of democracy in crisis, and rightly so. But there are other stories to be told, too: those where countries recovered from their crisis of #democracy. Désirée Marlen Reder and Monika Onken from German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) had a look at 74 cases and conclude: "Nearly one-in-three cases end in democratic recovery." What were the specifics in each case? And what does this mean for building a democratic alliance and supporting democracy around the world?
