𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚. 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒏 𝒐𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 — 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒂 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕. Handicap International - Humanité & Inclusion at the 4th Ministerial Conference on Feminist Foreign Policies, Paris, 22-23 October. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 🟨 At the event “Sustaining our feminist diplomacy: guaranteeing rights, supporting civil society,” organized by the National Assembly’s Delegation for Women’s Rights, I brought forward the perspectives of women and girls with disabilities. I emphasized how far-right and anti-rights movements pose a serious threat to those at the intersection of sexism and ableism. 𝗔 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 🟧 At the Conference I raised the urgent need to ensure that feminist diplomacies remain inclusive and intersectional ; highlighting the role of policy-makers, feminist civil society leaders and founders.
