AI Council of Tajikistan, UNICEF, zypl.ai sign Letter of Intent to integrate AI in education

Strengthening AI in Education in Tajikistan! Today, the AI Council of Tajikistan (under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies), UNICEF, and zypl.ai joined forces by signing a Letter of Intent to enhance collaboration on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a learning tool in Tajikistan’s education system. 📚 This new one-year partnership aims to leverage AI to advance child rights, digital inclusion, and innovation, ensuring that every child has equal opportunities for safe and modern learning. 🤝 The initiative builds on UNICEF’s global leadership in responsible AI and supports Tajikistan’s National AI Strategy (2022). At the same time, it aligns with UNICEF’s AI Strategy 2025–2030 and Digital Education Strategy 2025–2030, contributing to the development of a comprehensive and sustainable national digital learning system.

That is a wonderful initiative to scale up our national education to the world standard. However, 71% of our population lives in rural areas (WB Data) which raise questions: How will the initiative reach children living in rural places of Tajikistan? How much attention has been paid to rural education development?
