When we started working on making the packaging of a camera completely plastic free, the biggest challenge wasn’t the box, it was what goes inside. Replacing bubble wrap sounds simple, but it’s one of the hardest steps in eliminating plastic. It’s light, flexible, and guarantees perfect protection. Most paper-based fillers slow down production, increase weight, or don’t meet the same performance standards during transport. We had to rethink not just the material, but the entire packaging logic: how the product is positioned, fixed, and cushioned, without modifying the existing packing line. In our latest project video, we show how we achieved a 100% plastic free camera packaging that performs just like plastic — with the same protection, speed, and efficiency. 🌊 Stop wasting while saving the ocean It’s great that we’re making products from ocean plastic but if the process around it creates waste, oversized packaging, or “sustainability theater,” we’re missing the point. I’m all for ocean plastics — but let’s cut the waste everywhere else too: • One box, not four. • No printed guides nobody reads → QR code. • One material, easy to recycle. • No paint, no coatings — texture > ink. • Regrind your own scrap. • Set supplier targets based on real LCA data, not buzzwords. • Audit returns/damage to prove minimal packaging still works.
