Hacker Robs $128M from Balancer Crypto Platform 💥 Balancer, a major crypto trading platform built on Ethereum, has confirmed a huge hack targeting its V2 pools, with losses exceeding $128 million. The company says V3 pools are safe and is warning users to watch out for scam messages pretending to be from Balancer. 🧠 Security experts think the attacker used a rounding error bug in the system’s token swap calculations, turning small differences into big profits. Others believe the hacker exploited authorization flaws, allowing them to make unauthorized trades and balance changes. 🔍 Balancer’s team is working with security researchers to investigate and promises a full report soon. Even though the platform had been audited 11 times since 2021, this critical bug had gone unnoticed. 🎭 To make things worse, scammers pretending to be Balancer tried to trick the hacker with a fake “white-hat deal”, offering a reward for returning the money. The message used threats and forged evidence to seem real. 🌍 This is one of 2025’s biggest crypto thefts, adding to a growing wave of DeFi hacks. Many of these attacks are blamed on North Korean cyber groups, which have stolen over $2 billion in crypto this year, including $1.5 billion from Bybit in February. #scorpsec
