TCS AI Friday 2025! 🧩Our project: Legacy Code Documentation Agent. 💡 The Challenge: Enterprises today still run on millions of lines of legacy code often undocumented, poorly formatted, and written in outdated languages. This makes onboarding, debugging, and modernization painfully slow. Traditional documentation approaches are manual, inconsistent, and simply don’t scale. ⚙️ Our Solution: We built an intelligent agent that: • Accepts legacy or modern code as input (snippets, files, or PDFs) • Analyzes logic and dependencies using LangChain & DeepSeek LLMs • Retrieves contextual knowledge via Chroma DB, RAG, and embeddings • Generates a structured README.md documentation file in Markdown format instantly, accurately, and developer-friendly. 💪 Impact: This approach cuts documentation time dramatically, minimizes dependency on tribal knowledge, and empowers teams to accelerate system modernization and knowledge transfer. 🛠️ Tech stack we used: • Python for backend orchestration • LangChain for agentic workflows • Streamlit for rapid prototyping & UI • Chroma DB + RAG + Embeddings for context-aware knowledge retrieval • Prompt Engineering + DeepSeek LLMs for generating precise documentation. Almost a couple of decades ago when Selenium made its appearance in the testing world, in India we didn't have the opportunity to be part of its inception due to absence of social media, internet unavailability and in general - overall lack of exposure to innovations in the industry. Times have changed since then and in the last decade the adoption of Selenium has grown multifold in here, with many people also actively contributing to the project. Now as everyone knows we are in the threshold of another transition period - (like the world wide webs during that time) - to AI / LLM. But this time, we don't have any excuse to not be part of something good right from its start. I am talking about what 🤖 Jason Huggins is working on - Vibium. I am not so much active on Linkedin nowadays but a quick glimpse of what is being built as part of Vibium - it is exciting and it is something that the testing community was discussing about - 'a wishful entity' - 10 years ago in Twitter threads. Coming to the point, I might be wrong, but what I think will go inside its implementation architecture will be the following: - The core implementation based on Webdriver BiDi spec (already spoken about) - The raw user events on the browsers will be turned into graphs of behaviors with "nodes" being page components, page urls, user segments, sessions etc. and "edges" being actions, behaviors, transitions/sequences between nodes, with some edge properties like average time between, conversion rate after transition, device, geo etc. e.g: Node = /product/:id, Edge = viewed_product -> add_to_cart with weight=1234 - Instrumentation to be done to collect user-interactions behavioral data, with event fields maybe? e.g. preserving raw events using immutable event logs - Some Sessionization, Preprocesssing and Filtering of the data e.g. something like grouping events into sessions - Building transitions (edges) for each session - And then store and ingest in some GraphDB. Using Python ML libraries on top of it for embedding, mining etc. - And using JS libraries to visualize and explore But whatever will be implemented, it will be interesting for all of us to be part of the early codebase #selenium #testautomation #vibium
