Sometimes, I forget how lucky I am to have pursued a life that combines my military roots with entrepreneurship. Last week, I opened the West Point Entrepreneurship Summit in Nashville as its Chair, where we had two amazing keynotes. The first was none other than my United States Military Academy at West Point roommate, MG Brett Sylvia, who absolutely crushed it covering leadership with a strong metaphor about tending to your cultural garden to drive accountability and results. The second keynote was delivered by Sean Henry, President of the Nashville Predators, who shared a powerful and inspiring story of his entrepreneurial journey. I was then honored to attend the JPMorganChase Vet VC Summit in NYC, where I had the privilege of attending a private lunch and conversation with Jamie Dimon, focusing on critical issues related to National Security, Innovation, Supply Chain, and manufacturing capacity. Then I returned home to Texas to support the Special Forces Trust for The Great Americans Shoot held at Staccato Ranch, LLC. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Tulsi Gabbard, from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. As a former Congresswoman and Veteran with Hawaiian roots, she was extremely engaged with everyone and knew how to shoot.
