Transport is an essential enabler of trade, including via maritime links and especially so for both Sweden and Ireland. With 20% of all Swedish foreign trade overall going through the Port of Gothenburg – Scandinavia’s largest port – while over 90% of goods arrive in Ireland by sea, this set the context for yesterday's high-level roundtable on Sustainability and Resilience in Transport, co-hosted by Business Sweden and Embassy of Sweden in Ireland in partnership with Stena Line. Marking the occasion of Stena Line’s 30th anniversary on the Dublin-Holyhead route, Business Sweden were pleased to take part in such a dynamic discussion involving senior representatives from leading Swedish companies and exporters including Stena Line, AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Hitachi Energy, Volvo Buses and Volvo Cars. With excellent moderation by the The Irish Maritime Development Office (IMDO) Director Liam Lacey, we were also thrilled to be joined by the Irish Department of Transport, as well as the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, Dublin Port, Irish Ferries and Rosslare Europort. Interested to join the conversation? Reach out to our team in the UK and Ireland: Gustaf B., Samiksha Jalan and Susanna Silversol. #TransportLeadership #SustainabilityInAction #StenaLine30Years
