      According to the digital field data, we came to the well to check the reason why we were getting signals. First of all, we inspected the pumping unit (rocking chair) for any unusual activity. In the video, you can observe strange sounds coming from the machine. We reduced the load on the polished rod; however, we still need to determine the main cause of the issue. The next step was to check the liquid level in the tubing. The liquid level had risen by 200 meters — that was the reason.       The power of using the right tools at the right time – Part II Last week, I shared a post demonstrating how a "traditional" ODS analysis provided undeniably greater insight into a specific problem case compared to Motion Amplification. Today, we turn the tables. Onboard a sea going vessel, a new type of coupling was installed on one of the two shaft generators. Under certain conditions, a specific issue emerged. Numerous checks and inspections were carried out onboard, with one particularly striking observation: a seemingly inexplicable vibration component around ~3.5 Hz. This component was barely visible in the radial measurement directions, yet clearly present in the axial direction—especially on the generator itself.       High Frequency Vibration Analysis: Where the Details Make or Break the Data: In most "general" condition monitoring, poor accelerometer mounting often slips by, giving the analyst "acceptable" data below 2,000 Hz. However, when dealing with high-frequency (10,000+ Hz) monitoring of assets such as-multi-stage compressors, gear increasers with fundamental gear mesh frequencies over 20,000 Hz +, or high-speed tooling-the "usual" approach becomes a hazard! The greatest sources of error in this arena are typically: 1. Transducer Selection 2. Mounting Technique 3.
