PCPs should be more than isolated innovation projects—they should be core to Europe's long-term health strategy. Here’s our vision: 🔍 Track what works – Systematic monitoring and evaluation of PCP-funded solutions will help assess adoption, scalability, and impact. 🔗 Align PCPs with major EU initiatives – including the European Health Data Space, AI Act, and EU Digital Health Strategy. By embedding PCPs within the EU’s broader digital health agenda, we can maximise their value and integration across the health system. 📝 Dive deeper in the CareMatrix/2CARE4EU policy paper: https://lnkd.in/e4mrKhJb #DigitalHealth #PCP #HealthInnovation #EHDS #AIAct #HealthData #InnovationPolicy

The modern healthcare ecosystem relies on interoperability, which is the ability of systems to exchange and use health data easily. Patients, providers, payers, and even regulators increasingly expect information to be available at the right time and place. However, the reality is often different. Disconnected platforms, inconsistent data formats, and fragmented workflows still limit the industry.

🌐 Can Europe truly unify its fragmented health data landscape? The European Health Data Space (EHDS) is a monumental initiative aimed at harmonizing how health data is accessed, shared, and reused across EU Member States. Yet, this transformation faces real-world challenges — fragmented EMR systems, varying EHR definitions, interoperability gaps, and cultural barriers. To bridge these, Europe must drive technical modernization, governance alignment, and clinician engagement — paving the way for cross-border, patient-centered healthcare and research collaboration. 💬 Insight by Mariam Shokralla, Digital Health Strategist, Analytics – HIMSS EMEA 🔗 Read the full article in European Hospital & Healthcare Management, Issue 06–2025: #DigitalHealth #HealthDataSpace #Interoperability #EMR #EHR #HealthTech #EUHealthcare #HealthcareInnovation #EuropeanHHM #EHHM

🔥 What Is a Hospital on FHIR? 🔥 If data is the lifeblood of healthcare, then FHIR — Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources — is the circulatory system that finally makes it flow. A Hospitals on FHIR isn’t a new building. It’s a connected ecosystem where every system — patients, labs, meds, encounters, care plans — speaks the same digital language. 🏥🌐 Instead of siloed databases and endless re-entry of data, FHIR turns health records into structured, shareable context. That means: ⚡ Faster decisions for clinicians 🤖 Smarter, lighter AI agents 🧠 Personalised care pathways 💚 Less wasted compute and human energy ✨At Triggar Health, we’re designing our next-gen therapeutic agent, GPme™, to work inside this ecosystem — a hospital that listens, learns, and heals with light. ✨ 🌿Because when hospitals run on context, not chaos — everyone heals faster. 🌿 #FHIR #HospitalsOnFHIR #GPme #TriggarHealth #DigitalTherapeutics #SaMD #AIinHealthcare #Interoperability #ContextMatters #ListenLearnLight
The Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) in partnership with HL7 Australia® is turning up the heat on digital health innovation with the launch of FHIRside, a dynamic new forum that will bring developers and implementers together with industry experts to solve real-world challenges in health technology. Commencing 7 October 2025, FHIRside will offer a weekly opportunity for healthcare technology professionals to connect, collaborate and accelerate the implementation of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® (FHIR) standards. FHIR, an international standard for exchanging digital health information, is critical to improving the safety, quality and efficiency of digital health systems, leading to better-connected care for all Australians. The Agency’s Acting CEO, Peter O'Halloran, said this new forum will provide an opportunity for participants to connect with HL7 Australia FHIR experts, receive peer support and ask questions without judgment. “FHIRside will create a vibrant environment for real-time learning, peer mentoring and idea testing,” Mr O’Halloran said. HL7 Australia Chair David Rowlands says “FHIRside embodies the spirit of HL7’s mission to empower global health data interoperability,” Mr Rowlands said. “By creating a space for real-time collaboration and informal learning, it will strengthen the community and accelerate meaningful implementation of FHIR standards.” The inaugural FHIRside session will take place on 7 October 2025 from 12:30 – 1:30pm AEDT, running until December before recommencing in late January 2026. As patient engagement evolves, one question has become central: How can lived experience shape decisions in healthcare? That’s where Patient Experience Data (PED) comes in - the evidence captured directly from patients about their experiences, preferences, and priorities throughout the care and treatment journey. PED turns the human experience of healthcare into data that informs clinical, regulatory, and policy decisions, ensuring that every step, from research to access, reflects what matters most to patients. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has now opened a public consultation on Patient Experience Data. It’s a pivotal moment defining how this type of evidence will be recognized and integrated into future health decisions. For the PE community, this is the next step in a journey we have been building collectively for a decade: • Developing the PE Quality Guidance and Patient Experience Data Navigator to help organizations generate meaningful, decision-grade PED • Creating shared standards and frameworks that make patient input measurable, transparent, and actionable • Empowering stakeholders across 90+ countries to embed patient insights in systems, not side projects Now, with this consultation, we have the opportunity to help shape how PED is used – turning collective practice into lasting policy. This is our moment to act. Let us bring the collective strength, experience, and evidence of our community to the table and help ensure that patient experience data becomes a cornerstone of better, more human health decisions. Check out the PEM Suite: https://pemsuite.org/ Discover how Patient Engagement and Patient Experience Data are closely linked: https://lnkd.in/ewvj-9GX #PFMD #PatientEngagement #PatientExperienceData #EMA #HealthPolicy #MadeWithPatients #CoCreation #PatientCentricity #PatientVoices
