https://lnkd.in/g-bTR2jA Shanghai's "Huayanli" Architectural Marvel: A Robotic Relocation In a groundbreaking feat, Shanghai's 7,500-ton "Huayanli" Shikumen complex was successfully relocated over one week, moving 10 meters daily. This incredible undertaking was made possible by a cluster of 432 small, walking displacement robots. Each robot carried a portion of the massive weight, utilizing track and wheel composite drive technology for precise movement. What's truly innovative is that these robots could automatically compensate for ground elevation changes, ensuring stability and accuracy throughout the process. This project offers an ingenious solution for construction in Shanghai's narrow, older districts and sets a new precedent for the protective relocation of historic buildings.
