New Challenge for Banks With all the hoopla about crypto and stable coins, banks will face a new problem. Banks are working to protect customer from investment scams that may involve crypto. Banks get concerned when customer withdraw money for “investments”. Now with customers wanting to withdraw funds for legitimate but questionable crypto and and stable coin investments, it will be more difficult to discern a customer withdrawing money for an investment scam or for a “legitimate” crypto/stable coin investment. The customer will lose.

J.P. Morgan is letting institutions use Bitcoin as collateral for loans by end of year. This is significant. When you can pledge an asset as collateral at the world's largest bank, it changes how institutions treat it. The collateral move sits alongside other institutional steps: Bitcoin ETFs, client demand exploding, regulatory clarity improving globally. Each layer enables the next one.
