I'm finally ready to share what I've been working on, since I left AWS... 😳 Surprisingly, my son gave me the final kick in the right direction to launch more publicly. We were discussing which inventor he was going to cover for his school project and he turned to me and said "I could talk about you" 😁 to which I giggled and said "I'm not an inventor!". 😕 He looked at me confused and said "You are Mummy - you invented The Cloud Crew". 😍 In that moment, I realised that he'd been proudly watching and following everything I'd been working on. 🤯 So, with Bertie's endorsement, I had the realisation that The Cloud Crew CIC was no longer just an idea that I was passionate about, or a concept I was building - it had crossed the line and become a real, credible organisation! The Cloud Crew CIC is a community that harnesses the power of technology and volunteering. We create vital work experience and industry connections for skilled job-seekers and complete digital transformation projects for non-profits. It's been a busy seven months... ✅ 200+ job-seekers signed up to the community, all looking for support to launch their digital careers. ✅ Five digital transformation projects underway for amazing charities, such as Wigton Youth Station and Caudwell Children. ✅ Two hackathons completed for Barnardo's and a charity supporting food banks. ✅ Two mentoring programmes completed with the support of corporate volunteers from Capgemini and Salesforce. ✅ An incredible two-year programme started with University of Westminster, backed by Cognizant. ✅ And so much more in the pipeline! 😅 I definitely wouldn't class myself as an inventor, but I am working hard and supporting people to reach their potential. The Cloud Crew CIC would not have achieved any of this without the support of Anita O'Connor, Richard Bull, Navin Kumar, Alison Muggridge, Tracey Burrows, Sathish Chandra B., Victoria Pargetter-Garner, Valerie Brokamp - Meza, Craig Hall - thank you for the introductions and collaborations. A big thank you also for the coffee and early conversations when I was building the idea, Yiannis Maos MBE, Mick Westman, Diane Vernon MBE FIEP and to others that aren't on LinkedIn. I apologise if I've missed you off the list - and to those that prefer to remain in the background, I am so grateful for the perspective you've shared.
