Pro Tip for Startups Scaling from 20 → 50 Employees Growth isn’t just about adding heads — it’s about aligning them. When objectives live only in founders’ heads, teams drift into task mode instead of goal mode. That’s where clarity breaks down. Set clear goals, not just tasks. Goals give direction. Tasks give execution. Goals give purpose. Tasks give to-dos. As you scale, make sure your team knows why they’re doing what they’re doing. That alignment is the real growth engine. Sometimes I think about the different worlds I’ve worked in. In startups, the energy is different. Things move fast, everyone is hands-on, and you often find yourself wearing three hats in a single day. It’s exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. In bigger companies, there is structure. Roles are clearer, processes are stronger, and there’s a sense of order. But sometimes, that speed and raw energy is harder to find. I don’t see one as better than the other. They just shape you in different ways. For me, the biggest lesson has been this . Culture is not about whether you work in a startup or a large organization. It’s about the people around you and how they make you feel every day. That’s what makes the real difference. #WorkCulture #HR #Leadership #OrganizationalBehaviour #EmployeeExperience #FutureOfWork #CultureMatters #PeopleFirst #CareerGrowth To view or add a comment, sign in

90% of startups fail within 5 years. Not because of bad ideas. Because they lack operators who can turn vision into reality. 𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀. Here's why: • Founders pitch the dream • Operators build the machine • Founders raise capital • Operators create capital • Founders see the future • Operators make it happen The market is saturated with visionary decks. What it craves are leaders who can: 𝟭. 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 Systems > Stories 𝟮. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 Foundation > Followers 𝟯. Turning vision into execution isn’t a sprint it’s an orchestration. Every visionary leader dreams big. But scaling that dream requires a symphony of clarity, consistency, and culture. What separates scalable businesses from short lived startups isn’t the idea it’s alignment. You can’t scale chaos. You scale clarity. -Define your why before your how. -Communicate direction until it feels repetitive that’s when it finally lands. -Empower teams to own execution, not just follow orders. -Measure what matters, not what’s easy. When your team understands the why, execution stops being a checklist it becomes a movement. A leader’s real job isn’t to have all the ideas. It’s to make sure the best ideas get executed again and again. #LeadershipDevelopment #VisionToReality #ExecutionMatters #CEOThinking #OrganizationalCulture #BusinessGrowth To view or add a comment, sign in

Every business leader faces this question at some point: What really drives scale — people or processes? Early on, growth feels entirely people-led. You hire smart, hungry folks. Everyone wears multiple hats. Decisions are fast because ownership is high. But as the company grows, chaos sneaks in. Meetings replace momentum. Alignment starts costing more than innovation. And suddenly, processes become the saviour. The irony? If processes become too rigid, they kill the very agility that helped you grow in the first place. The real answer, I’ve come to believe, isn’t people vs process — It’s people who build processes that scale with people. Systems don’t create success. People do — but only when the system enables them to. #Leadership #Scaling #Startups #Operations #Growth #Strategy To view or add a comment, sign in

When I’ve stepped into a fast growing company as one of the first people leaders, it is exciting! There’s no playbook or script, and leaders expect you to design systems, policies, and organizational structures quickly. These new practices need to scale. In a scale-up, HR has to be practical, agile, and fast. I’ve always imagined it like fixing a bicycle while riding it! You have to build just enough structure to keep the wheels on while leaving room for creativity. Finding solutions that are just the right size but allow room for growth is important. The solutions or processes should feel lightweight for managers but powerful enough to grow with the business.
