APIs are only as strong as their documentation. With Dredd, teams can automate API testing, catch mismatches early, and seamlessly integrate validation into CI/CD pipelines. What is Regression Testing & Why It Matters - Many teams focus on new features, but forget the importance of regression testing. Regression testing ensures that new code changes don’t break existing functionality. It’s like checking if yesterday’s working car still drives smoothly after you added new parts today. In my experience, regression testing: ✅ Builds confidence in releases ✅ Reduces production issues ✅ Saves cost by catching bugs early Regression testing is often seen as a bottleneck, but I see it as a safety net. Skipping it may speed up delivery today but could create bigger risks tomorrow. #ManualTesting #QA #QualityAssurance #ManualTester #SoftwareTesting

“Automation saves time,” they said. 3 hours later: still debugging why the script won’t click the button that clearly exists. Moral of the story: Automation is 10% code, 90% detective work #SoftwareTesting #QA #AutomationLife

🚨🐞 Error vs Defect vs Bug vs Failure — Simplified! 🧩 These four QA terms sound similar but mean different things 👇 💡 Error → Human mistake in code or design ⚙️ Defect → Flaw caused by that mistake 🐛 Bug → Defect found during testing 💥 Failure → When the issue appears in real use ✅ Error → made by humans ✅ Defect → exists in code ✅ Bug → caught in testing ✅ Failure → seen by users Great QA = fewer failures & happier users 💪✨ #SoftwareTesting #QA #BugVsDefect #TestingBasics #SoftwareQuality #QATraining #TesterLife #QATips

💡 Reducing flaky tests with a well-thought-out retry logic This time, I added a retry mechanism to reduce flaky tests. You might think: “Another retry? Bad idea!” Well… not always 😅 In this specific case, the retry is justified. We’re talking about notifications and database operations. Sometimes the test queries the database before the write operation is fully completed. As a result, the test fails — even though the data appears a few milliseconds later. 👉 By adding a small retry mechanism, we can avoid those false negatives and keep our test suite reliable without hiding real bugs. Lesson learned: A retry should never be used to hide problems… but it can be your best ally when dealing with asynchrony 💪 #QA #QualityAssurance #SoftwareTesting #RegressionTesting #TeamWork #DevLife #BugHunting
