As part of wider work to develop an action plan in support of Creative Industries in north-east Scotland, Aberdeen City Council have commissioned mapping research into the scale of the existing CI sector in the region. THE FIFTH SECTOR LIMITED are carrying out this research on our behalf and will be hosting four workshops on 13th and 14th November as part of this. These are aimed at those working across the Creative Industries in the region with sessions across the city and shire. There are specific workshops for Screen, Advertising and Marketing, and wider Creative Industries. Key Topics Covered in the Workshops: - What has changed in the creative sector in North East Scotland over the last two decades? - What does the evidence from our recent mapping tell us about the scale and significance of the region's creative industries? - What will be the impact of changes in technologies (including AI) on your creative practice and business? - What new skills will you need to keep up with new technologies (including AI and virtual production)? - How can we build stronger collaborations between creatives, investors and policy makers? - What is the vision for the creative sector in North East Scotland? - What options are there for actionable strategies that can transform the perception and performance of the region’s creative industries? Spaces are limited!
