The discussion highlighted lessons learned from implementing #blockchain, #digital payments, and crowdfunding to enhance reach and transparency in humanitarian action. Thank you Burcu Mavis for facilitation and our fantastic speakers from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Aseel, HesabPay and University of Geneva. 💲 The second session presented findings from DEMAC’s recent research in Afghanistan on #innovativefinancing models and tools, exploring diaspora financing flows and their impact in the aftermath of the Herat earthquake in 2023 and amid the recent forced returns from Iran in 2025. Thank you Sacha Gayama for facilitation and insightful speakers from Samuel Hall, Uplift Afghanistan Fund and Aseel for sharing first hand experiences. #diaspora #AidEx #Afghanistan #HumanitarianResponse #techanddiaspora
