We could have had a wechat We could have had a shopify We could have had a CRM We could have had a Slack and yet we chose to put up with WhatsApp!
We used telegram for company communication with bots integrated with ERPNEXT. We have bots for notifiying most of the activities. Customer comm has been hard, We started using chatwoot with common inbox, but have seen low adoption among our employees. Still communication happens in telegram and is then shared to WhatsApp.
But think about this, Wechat does the same for China and yet the experience is 100X smoother there. Macgyvering (jugaad) is second nature.
Thought I was alone in getting frustrated with WhatsApp UI recently. Brands spamming and those clunky groups and communities had ruined what once used to be a place for cosy connections and chat conversations.
Indians can't segregate work and life.
Automate but safely and then it’s all good.
here's how i solve it partially. 1. I'm using 2 wa numbers. one for work, for external comms & collab one for personal. 2.slack, for internal comms & collab 3. limit sharing the number to anyone, especially shops & businesses, so that spam reduces
What problem are you suggesting to solve here?
even if we went back to sending messages with pigeons, some brand would stick an ad on the poor bird
