Today, there is a tremendous opportunity to improve women’s health. It’s an opportunity to invest capital, spur innovation, and enable the nearly four billion mothers, daughters, sisters, and wives across the United States and around the world to live better, healthier lives. Funding for women’s health is in a state of push-pull. There is a push of funding for early-stage innovation from seed-stage investors and also from government, and a pull for transactions from acquirers and public investors. Private capital is needed to bridge the gap and advance promising innovation to product development and commercialization to ensure early-stage investment efforts ultimately reach patients.
