Pleasure to take part in MWC Africa in Kigali, which continued to explore #MWC25 themes ''Converge. Connect. Create'', particular to the African continent. At the opening, I made the case to invest in 3 critical areas, to accelerate Africa's digital leap: 1. Digital infrastructure, devices and services that every African can afford. 2. Inclusion, especially through skills 3. Homegrown digital innovation To underscore, and as H.E. President Kagame said, ''The most important conversation we should have is about people, and how digital skills and tools can reach everyone.'' Wonderful to join H.E. Minister Paula Ingabire, Vivek Badrinath, Hon. Chief Fortune Zephania Charumbira, Nikos Angelopoulos and Hon. Ahmed Shakeel Shabbir in the Ministerial Programme opening as well, to delve further into shaping Africa's future through digital and AI. ITU is also proud to join the African Task Force on Child Online Protection, with GSMA, UNICEF and others. Great initiative to advance the African Union Child Online Safety and Empowerment Policy, and ensure the digital future of the continent is safe and inclusive for generations to come. MWC Kigali
