After five intense and incredibly rewarding years, I’ve made the decision to step away from G Mining Ventures and take a pause from the mining industry — to spend more time with my young family and reflect on what comes next. When we launched GMIN in 2020, my first son had just been born. Two years later, as we closed the most transformative deal in the company’s history, my second son arrived. In many ways, GMIN and my boys grew up together — but while the company thrived, I missed too many moments at home. It’s time to rebalance. I co-founded GMIN with the goal of building something different — a modern, growth-oriented gold company with execution at its core. As SVP, Corporate Strategy, I had the privilege of leading capital markets, M&A, financing, and investor relations through some of the company’s most defining chapters. A few milestones I’m especially proud of:          - Leading the $115M acquisition and $481M project financing of Tocantinzinho, transforming GMIN from concept to construction - Structuring the $600M merger with Reunion Gold — while fending off an interloper — to create a new force in the Americas - Convincing BHP to sell us CentroGold in exchange for a royalty — an unconventional structure rarely seen from a major Beyond the deals, I’m most proud of how we positioned GMIN as a platform — where technical execution was the product and mining assets were the inputs. We built a compelling investor narrative, earned a premium valuation, and showed that the capital markets can be a powerful engine of value creation in mining when strategy and execution are aligned. I step away with pride in what we built — and deep gratitude for the people, partnerships, and lessons along the way. Now, it’s time to trade terminals for storybooks, deadlines for downtime — and see what life looks like when the calendar is finally quiet.
