On the ground in Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮 Our teams are now rolling out registration across two supply chains: 👕 Cotton - with Olam Agri and Better Cotton Initiative, through a project supported by the ISEAL Innovations Fund (supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and UK International Development from the UK Government (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office)). 🍫 Cocoa - with Tony's Chocolonely. Over the next months, around 20,000 farmers and their families will be enrolled in Elucid’s healthcare programs across two regions. It is a big operation - and we are excited that all pieces and partners are in place! 👉 During their recent visit, Julius and Katy met with the DGCMU - Direction Générale de la Couverture Maladie Universelle de Côte d'Ivoire and the CNAM Côte d'Ivoire teams. Julius reflects: “𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘔𝘜 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺: 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘫𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧.” These national efforts show how much momentum already exists to expand healthcare access. 🔬We aim for research and partnerships that can help strengthen that progress, yet evidence on what public–private partnerships can deliver is still limited. Together with the Université Alassane Ouattara, we’re helping close that gap through new research. 👉 Read more in Julius’s post: https://lnkd.in/dUMGbivZ
